WISDOM IS REQUIRED FOR REIGNING

Prov 8:15-16 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
Leadership without wisdom is dangerous. It is disaster waiting to happen. A Pastor must be filled with wisdom. A political ruler must be filled with wisdom. A husband must act in wisdom. A CEO or a leader in an organisation must walk in wisdom. To lead without wisdom is a hard road to journey on.
The organisation goes where the leader goes. Every organisation can go as far as the leader goes. If the leader is wise, then the organisation is blessed. If the leader lacks wisdom, then the organisation is in trouble. Scripture says, woe unto you O land whose king is a child. A child here implies one that is immature and lacks wisdom. And the unfortunate thing is that, there are a lot of immature leaders in our world today. And that’s not too good.
Our opening scripture says, By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. Hallelujah! Chapter 8 of the book of Proverbs is one that talks about wisdom; wisdom was talking and said, by me kings reign and princes decree justice. This implies that wisdom is saying, without me kings cannot reign and princes cannot decree justice.
In 1 Kings 3, Solomon had just been anointed king over Israel. After he had an encounter with God at Gibeon, they brought to him a case of two prostitutes whom one of them has her child dead and needed judgment. Because Solomon had just received wisdom from God, he knew what to do and gave the right judgment. Look at the result of Solomon wisdom:
1 Kings 3:28 And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment.
In leadership, wisdom plays a vital role in making the right judgment, discerning the situation well, decision making, handling of personnel, communication, casting a vision and developing the plan and strategy to accomplish it.
If you are a leader of any kind, you need wisdom. Pray to God often to grant you wisdom; and act on what wisdom gives you and you will reign in life.
