DISOBEDIENCE WILL COST YOU GREATLY

Isaiah 1:28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed.
There is no blessing in walking in disobedience. Disobedience will cost you greatly. The smartest thing to do in life is to obey God promptly. All the suffering humanity is suffering today, and those of generations past, are all as a result of one man’s disobedience. One disobedience from Adam plunged the whole world into darkness and total chaos. Little did Adam know the impact of his disobedience.
From our theme scripture, we are told that the destruction of sinners and transgressors shall be together. The word “sinners” implies those who are not born again; while the word transgressors are those who even though are born again, they are walking against the word of God. What God is saying is that even though they are born again, if they walk in disobedience, they will suffer the same thing sinners suffer.
These are folks who ignore divine instructions in the house of God. These are folks who want to challenge every instruction given in the church. These are folks who will not do what God prompts them to do. Your obedience to God’s instructions not only blesses you, but other folks. In the same manner, your disobedience does not only affect you, but others. When Achan took of the accursed things, he was killed together with his innocent family. Make no mistake about it; folks’ destinies are tied to your obedience. Look at a man of God like Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, his obedience to the call of God has brought tremendous blessings to the world.
Even though Christ’s work on the cross took care of all your sins and there is therefore now no condemnation for you, if you walk in disobedience, you will suffer greatly; you will be greatly hindered. You must know that for every action of yours there are consequences, whether good or bad. There is no action or utterance that has no consequence.
Make up your mind today to obey God no matter what the cost may be; it is worth it. It always pays to obey God. As you study the scriptures, you see that those who obeyed God ended up well, while those who disobeyed God ended up terribly. Ask the Holy Ghost for grace to act on His word today.
