NO DULL MOMENT IN HIS PRESENCE

Psalms 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
In church, everything must be done with joy. No depressive moment. Keep your depression at home. In His presence is fullness of joy. Sing with joy. Dance with joy. Give with joy. Preach with joy. Keep joyful faces
Deuteronomy 28:47-48
[47]Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
[48]Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
Joy is an indicator of the presence of God. Where there is no joy God is absent. If you don’t serve God with joy you become slave to the enemy.
If you lose your joy of serving God, you yield to the enemy of depression. Under the law God placed a curse on those who serve Him without gladness (Deuteronomy 28:47-48). This is how serious God takes joyful service and worship serious.
Maintain joy at all season
James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
The first statement Apostle James made to the brethren facing trials is count it all joy. You would think he would console them – rather he encouraged them to be joyful.
Pastor Chris once said, Happy Pastor, happy congregation. No one should stand behind the pulpit or hold the microphone with a sad countenance. The moment you climb up, put up a cheerful countenance. Hallelujah!
Any countenance you put up while leading a service affects the entire congregation. Nearly every one has a problem. But when you come to church, drop that issue and face God. When we are done with the service we will face the issue.
Don’t put up a long face in church as if you are the only one going through anything. An attack on your joy is an attack on your faith. Faith works in an atmosphere of joy.
A depressive atmosphere is a hindrance to the expression of faith. Stay joyful for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
