THE PASTORAL MINISTRY IS FOR YOUR ADVANTAGE

Ephesians 4:8, 11 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

When you have a seed, what you do to the seed will determine what the seed will be to you. If you plant it, water it, nurture it and protect it, then it will yield a bountiful harvest for you. On the other hand, if you trample on it and mishandle it, then you will reap nothing.

Your Pastor is like a seed to you; what you do to him will determine how much you receive from him. If you believe by just touching him you will receive your healing, it will be to you. If you believe his suit is anointed, and by touching it you will be healed, so shall it be to you.

Your Pastor is God’s gift to you – a gift is supposed to be received, adored and cherished greatly. What are you going to do with him? Receive his ministry and leadership? Or question his calling and criticize anything he does? The choice is yours. Whether you believe it or not God has tied your prosperity to your Pastor; the earlier you begin to see that the better for you. Your Pastor is for your profit and advantage. He is ordained of God for your advantage.

"Hebrews 5:1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.”

Smart members will take advantage of this opportunity and get the best out of their Pastor. Ephesians 4:11-12 says “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

The Pastor does not exist for himself; he is there because of the people; the Pastor needs to know this very well, as well as the members. This understanding will bring order and eventually blessings to God’s people.

Some members don’t know how to take advantage of the Pastoral wisdom available to them. Anytime you go to your Pastor for counseling, there is a special anointing that comes on him to minister to your needs.

It is my opinion that your Pastor is the best person to counsel you. Woe unto you if you don’t have a good Pastor. Anytime the Pastor stands behind the pulpit to minister, there is a special wisdom and anointing that comes on him to minister to the needs of the members. Getting hooked to a good pastoral ministry will make an immaculate difference in your life.
