SUCCESS IS NOT A ONE DAY HIT!

Genesis 26:13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
No one wakes up one day and become rich instantly. It takes some considerable amount of time to build wealth. Proverbs 13:11 says, “Wealth [not earned but] won in haste or unjustly or from the production of things for vain or detrimental use [such riches] will dwindle away, but he who gathers little by little will increase [his riches].”AMPC
The CEVB puts it succinctly: Riches gotten quickly will dwindle, but those who acquire them gradually become wealthy (Proverbs 13:11). Thus all those who depend on lottery and gambling to get rich are all failures and losers. Wealth is accumulated gradually and not a one time hit.
Our opening scripture speaks of Isaac who waxed great. The word “waxed” has the connotation of gradual and progressive increase; it speaks of gradual accumulation of wealth. The man became wealthy by a gradual process. This is the God kind of success that God wants us to desire and live by.
Even in ministry, no one wakes up one day and walk in a greater measure of the anointing and power and influence. These things are built gradually. It is like building a house or a skyscraper. You lay one block after the other till you have a complete edifice. As you pray and study the word daily, you grow in the anointing and spiritual matters.
In life, you must learn to build your own edifice. And anyone can have his own edifice of success and wealth and glory. All you need to do is add value to your life daily. The things you do on a daily basis is what will culminate into your edifice. Hence if you are not adding anything of significance to your life daily, but waiting for some jackpot, you are in for shock.
Even a million dollar is the accumulating of 1 dollar bills that adds up to a million. This is why savings is a great thing; as you keep saving and saving, it will turn into a million one day. Everyday that passes by, lay a block of success; it may be little; but keep building. One day you will realise that you have your own edifice of success. Hallelujah!
